Student Rating of Teaching Effectiveness (SRTE)
At the end of each course, students at Penn State complete anonymous in-class evaluations of teaching outcomes, known as the Student Rating of Teaching Effectiveness (or SRTEs). Ratings are provided on a seven-point scale, with 1 = lowest rating and 7 = highest rating.
A summary of the SRTEs for the two courses that I have taught and the lab section that I led are provided directly below. The full results are provided below the summary. Students also answer several open-ended questions about their experiences in the course. A summary of students' written comments can be found on the Teaching Evaluations & Reflections page.
